The Price of Convenience

Here we go.

Ok...I took my pix, but I'm going to post them in parts. Mostly because I'm too fucking tired to download the rest of them. I'll give you the first 2 tho. That's a shot of the quartz crystal you may have read about here.
What appears below is the Disney Bathroom. This is a creation soley ours. Pretty cool, huh?

But, as I've said, I'm way to tired to continue, so I'll see you in the morning with the rest.

I really need to get laid....

That's what someone told me tonight.
I'm not going to argue that, but what brought the statement on has absolutely nothing to do with that fact. I was sitting at work, reading my Jack in the Box cup when I noticed something strange.
Even if you discount the phallic nature of Jack's shiny yellow helmet, you can tell me that's not a penis behind him.
Imagine my chagrin, therefore when I discovered this on the other side of the cup. Now, it's been a while since I've been this close to one, but I seem to remember the vagina looking quite a bit like this.....

So, you see, while I may indeed need to get leed, I'm not the one pushing pornographic plastic pop cups.
Oh yeah, those pix don't count towards the Saturday show. I already took a couple for that too, so look for those later...well, today, I guess....

The forcast calls for snow....
And it's already here. Woke up to about 2 inches of the white shit this morning, and more is predicted. It's supposed to snow all day today, and tomorrow morning as well.
What can I say? I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself. At least this year I'm driving through it instead of walking.
I'm gearing myself up for the photo shoot tomorrow. I may take the first picture after midnight tonight, as I'm sure I'll still be awake. The rest will have to wait until the morning.
Well, guess that's it for now.
I'm off like a prom dress.

The calm before the storm...
Ok. I know it's been forever, and for that I'm sorry. I've been in my 'I hate winter, and by extension my life' phase of the year.
I've talked about it before, and so I won't belabor the point.
Things have been pretty much ok lately, if unexciting. That's a large part of why I've not posted. I mean, how interesting is it to hear what I had for dinner?
I'm currently working 2:30-11:00 pm, and that has prolly contributed to my lack of posting too. By the time I'm up and through reading blogs, have grabbed sommat to eat, and showered, it's almost time to head out, and thus no time for blogging.
On another note, Suse has proposed an interesting challenge, and I'm going to take her up on it.
Come Saturday morning, I'll take a photo an hour, and then post them to my blog. It should be quite fun, and if any of you are up for it, let me know.
I wish there was more excitement that I could post about, but the most earth-shattering news I have to report is that last month (well, January actually) on the 12th, I turned the magic 40.
Yeah, you can almost feel the excitement, can't you? Didn't do much, but my Mom bought me all kinds of swag: 2 pairs of shoes, 4 pairs of Levi's, 9 or so new shirts, a bottle of Obsession, a bottle of Escape, and Cell, the new novel by Stephen King.
Kinda made out like a bandit this year. Beyond that tho, it's been pretty boring. We've had our share of snow this year, but thankfully it's all been pretty much melted before I've had to do much driving.
We're in the middle of a storm system right now that's supposed to be pretty nasty, but so far all we've had in the valley is rain. You won't hear me complaining.
Ok. Time for the pre-work ritual.

Better people, better food, better beer....
....whew /em mops brow.
It's been pretty hectic lately. I hope everybody had a good holiday season. Mine saw a lot of good family time, a fair measure of chicanery, and an absolute glut of outstanding food.
I guess I should start with the "Christmas Gift Conspiricy of 2005."
Christmas: it's a time of love, rejoincing, and tricking people. With the exception of my mother and myself, everybody at the o-dark thirty gift unwrapping at my sister's house was fooled when opening a package.
Take for example my niece. She's been doing a great job of keeping the secret about the t.v. that my mom bought and was keeping at thier house. We were all so proud of her. What everyone but her knew, is that the t.v. was really for HER!!
My sister opened a box from Pops and I. It was the glasses that we'd given her the year previously, which she had given back to us. Heh...then we gave her the waffle iron that she reeeeeely wanted.
Now we have a standing Sunday Breakfast. Yummy.
Christmas dinner was a New York Strip roast. Pops cooked it, and it was perfection. He's also made vegatable beef soup out of it. That's some pretty monster stuff too, not to mention the French Dip sandwiches.
Ok. Now I'm going to talk about presents. My niece got, in addition to the television, a cd boombox, a 5.0 meg digital camera, and a cel phone. Oh, yeah, Pops and I gave her a nutcracker. It's like 2 feet tall.
Pops got the usual: Old Spice, and new pair of slippers.
I got the coffee pot that I wanted, an electronic dartboard, socks (yay mom) and enough money to get my iPod shuffle. I love it. Loooooove it. I got the small one, at 512k, but get this: I've got 130 songs stored on it, and it's just soooooooo cool.
Sorry I've been a lame poster. I'm off.
Buenos con queso,
T.
